As my first time eating from this place the experience was awesome. I called and placed my order for picked up. The woman who took my order was very professional and took her time explaining to me my different choices. When i received my food the food was amazing. The portion was great for the price. I know for a fact that i will definitely order from here again. Great job you guys.
Hubby and I went there for dinner tonight. We were actually interested in going to Elena’s (same Dollar Tree mall as this restaurant on Cross Street), but since they now close at 3 pm, we decided to try El Dorado Mexican Grill (which not only has a website but a very good one at that). To start with, our server Alejandra was very sweet and attentive. We loved the homemade salsa and chips. Hubby had the Shrimp Avocado Salad—a whole Hass avocado was sliced over the top—12 shrimp and very fresh veggies. I had the Chicken Fajita Salad, which was awesome, even the tortilla bowl—which I don’t normally eat—was unlike the usual no-flavor bowl... it was delicious and crunchy. The chicken was moist, the vegetables were cooked just right, and the sauce and sour cream really put the eating experience over the top! We’ve been to many Mexican restaurants in different cities and states, but this may have been the very best we’ve ever tasted.
Excellent food with excellent service. We enjoyed the appetizer (queso fundido), we definitely recommend it. The enchiladas were fantastic. I had the enchilada suiza and de espinacas (spinach) well seasoned. The waitress/ owner was really sweet. Go check it out and support your local restaurant.
First time diners at El Dorado tonight. We had the shrimp salad, tamale, and a combination platter with a tamale and a chimi. It was all fantastic. The total bill, before tip, was less than 40 including 3 cervezas! Great service, nice atmosphere, good music. I'm only sorry that it took us so long to finally try this gem. We will be back and often!
My Mother and I have been there twice in the last month and we love their food and good service. The entrees and sides are fresh and cooked just right, with the fresh produce accompaniment proportioned perfectly with lettuce, tomatoes and cilantro.The spinach enchiladas were filled with dark green delicious spinach....my mouth is watering as I write this. I live in Venice and will be saving my Mexican food fix for when I am in Punta Gorda. The restaurant is fairly new so check it out.
We've been searching for a great wet burrito and finally found it! We also tried the taco & taquito plate which were also delicious. Service was fast and friendly.
Had Steak Fajitas and they were amazing. Good size portions and extremely flavorful. Also had the Steak fajita quesadilla and they were great as well. Glad I found this little gem. Will be back. Also DISREGARD previous posts they DO have Margaritas.
Food is really good. Fairly priced. I had enchiladas and tacos beef. Salsa and chips were good. Service was great.
